     Bright's disease, died before son Adolph was born, word has it he was a fine
man. Had two quarters of land near Oberlin, KS.

     A farmer most of his life in Rawlins County, KS. Moved to Oberlin, KS in 1950,
where he was employed by several Oberlin businesses while continuing farming.
He was an ardent sports fan. He was stricken with a heart ailment but was able
to return to work. He died from a fatal heart attack.

     In the year of 1888 they along with their son Ole Severt, came by boat to the USA, docking at Ellis Island, NY on May 17 1888. From New York they traveled on an immigrant train to Uma, Kansas where they lived the rest of their years around Norway, Scandia, and Hackley, KS.
